Read below to find out more about their journey to Invigorate Education.
Nina Ballo is a qualified Teacher and Social worker from South London.
She has always been passionate about working with children, which runs in the family, with both her late grandmother and mother being ex-teachers.
Nina's higher education began with her degree in Psychology and Journalism. Like several post grads, Nina spent a few years trying to find her feet in the working work. She initially worked as a Teaching Assistant for a local Primary School, supporting children with Global Delay and ASD.
An opportunity arose for Nina to move to India to teach children at an international school, and of course, Nina jumped at the chance.
Upon her return, Nina spent a few years working at a bank where she became a Chartered Banker and a qualified Assistant store Manager. However, from previous working experience and her recent travels, she knew that her passion lay elsewhere and she enrolled to Roehampton University where she started her Teacher Training.
Nina went on to become a qualified teacher, initially teaching Year 5 before moving to Year 6 for several years. During this time, she became a staff Governor for her federation, sitting on both the Quality of Education Committee and the Resources committee.
Nina launched her Tutoring business in 2019, just before the start of the pandemic. She soon had to adapt to remote learning for both her class and tutee's. Nina's business provided tutoring services for children ranging from reception up to KS3 up until 2023 before the start of Invigorate Education.
Nina left mainstream teaching and became a Nurture teacher in a Social, Emotional and Mental Health School. A role which allowed her to consider the impact she could have on children in alternative provisions, with additional needs.
Nina started her Step Up to Social Work course in 2022 and graduated as a qualified Social worker in 2023. During this time, she trained in different areas within her Local Authority, gaining experience in the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub, Fostering and recruitment team and now sitting within the Assessment and Intervention Team.
Nina has a plethora of experience working with children and families which inspired the idea behind Invigorate Education.

Co-Founder & Director
Hayley is an educator from London with experience across various educational settings.
Her initial interest in early years and education was hugely influenced by her mum, who is an educator in early years. The insight that she gained through her mum's work is what encouraged her to attend university and gain a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
On completing her degree, Hayley knew that she wanted to take her studies further but was not sure in what direction. After taking a year out to work across retail, nursery and as a teaching assistant, she decided that her passion lay within education.
Hayley completed her teacher training course with Harris ITT and Kingston University and continued on with Harris as a KS2 teacher.
As someone who has always loved an adventure and of no surprise to her family and friends, Hayley decided that she would pack up and move abroad to teach. In her 2 years abroad, Hayley gained valuable experience as a KS1 teacher, year group leader, coach and mentor.
Having witnessed the transformative power of a nurturing and supportive environment on a young person's growth and development, being approached by Nina to join her in bringing life to Invigorate Education, has been a true privilege. Suitably, allowing the opportunity to ensure that more young people have access to quality educational experiences throughout their lives.
